FAQ's

What is A2 desi cow ghee?

A2 desi cow ghee is clarified butter made from the milk of indigenous Indian cow breeds like Gir, Kankrej, Sahiwal, and Rathi, which produce only A2 beta-casein protein. Prepared using the traditional Bilona method, it's known for easier digestibility, a rich nutty aroma, and higher nutritional value than regular ghee.

What are the benefits of A2 desi cow ghee?

A2 desi cow ghee supports digestion through butyric acid, boosts immunity with fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, and aids metabolism via CLA and omega-3 fatty acids. It also nourishes skin, strengthens bones, and is keto- and Ayurveda-friendly when consumed in moderation daily.

Is A2 desi cow ghee good for weight loss?

A2 desi cow ghee can support weight management when used in moderation. Its butyric acid and CLA may help improve metabolism and reduce cravings by promoting fullness. However, ghee is calorie-dense, so a teaspoon or two daily within a balanced diet works best—it's not a standalone weight-loss food.

Can lactose-intolerant people eat A2 desi cow ghee?

Yes, most lactose-intolerant people can tolerate A2 desi cow ghee. The Bilona process removes nearly all milk solids, leaving extremely low lactose and casein levels (often under 3mg per 100g). Combined with easy-to-digest A2 protein, it's gentler on the stomach than butter or milk.

How much A2 desi cow ghee should I consume daily?

For most healthy adults, 1–2 teaspoons (10–15g) of A2 desi cow ghee per day is ideal. Take it on an empty stomach, with warm milk, or over meals like dal and rice. Stick to moderation since ghee is calorie-dense and high in healthy fats.
